cod 5 not starting.

i just got cod 5 installed and at the end it says "make sure you reinstall direct x before playing." So when i try to play, the comp turn black and dosent do anything. multiplayer works though.

I don't get the point of Twitter, i know what it is, but it seems completely pointless. just updating wut ur doing, wats the point? I mean is twitter actually worth making an acount?
